I have decided to modify the links and colors within the frame a little bit and I may be making more color changes in the future. I've also just added quite a few quick links to the Illinois and Wisconsin cemetery pages. July 28, 2014 A couple new updates for today... first, there is a new contact form available for Gravers to use to contact me. I am going to discontinue using Findagrave's public messaging feature in favor of this. If you wish to check it out, click here. I think I got all the bugs and incorrect links out of the code for the pages. If not use the form to contact me and tell me about it! Findagrave has recently made changes to their site which has disabled a lot of features on my site in regards to using frames. (Yes I know frames are obsolete but I've been using them since the good ole days.) They are using a frame buster which breaks out of my frame so as a "fix," I have targeted some of the links to open in a new window instead of on the left side of the page. Sorry about the inconvenience! July 9, 2014 I have recently completed making cemetery maps for all of northeast Indiana. Check out the maps page to check them out. Most maps will need multiple sheets of paper if you wish to print them legibly. June 28, 2014 County Cemetery Maps for Jay and Randolph (Indiana) Counties have been added to the maps page. April 6, 2013 Spring is here now and so is the opportunity to visit cemeteries without having to worry about the cold weather. I have recently visited 4 cemeteries in Delaware County, Indiana, including Hinton, Prairie Grove, Thompson, and Zion Chapel Cemeteries. I've added them to the Visited Cemeteries Page. February 4, 2013 The "Favorite Cemeteries" page has been updated with a new favorite cemetery. This includes a description as well as a photo of this unique little place. Also, Riverside Cemetery in Gas city, Indiana has been added to my "Watched Cemeteries" list. December 22, 2012 There have been quite a few additions to the site lately but has been no update posted on the main page. The "Here Lies Tombstoner" headstone photo has just been replaced with a photo of a granite angel which I took at Mount Hope Cemetery in Huntington, Indiana. I also have created a "Watched Cemeteries" feature where I can monitor recent additions to select cemeteries. Finally, a new page counter was added on December 3 which monitors the number of visitors to the site along and adds their state flag to the counter. January 31, 2012 You can now find GPS locations for all of our mapped cemeteries on the maps page. January 16, 2012 The map for Blackford County Indiana is now available on the maps page. This may be the last map I create, since I now have all maps for the immediate area. January 5, 2012 I have just added a map of Adams County to the maps page. Be sure to check it out if you're planning on visiting Adams County. September 8, 2011 A map for Whitley County has been added to the maps page. July 26, 2011 New maps for Howard, Miami, and Delaware Counties have all been added to the maps page, plus there is now a link at the left of this page that will take you directly to the maps. July 18, 2011 After many hours of creating it, the map of the Allen County Cemeteries has been uploaded! July 17, 2011 A map of Madison County (Indiana) Cemeteries has been added to the maps page. Maps for Allen and Delaware Counties will be soon to follow! April 3, 2011 I have just modified the web site to make a scrolling frame in the main page, the page you are reading now. You will see a new white scrollbar to the right. This is better viewed with Internet Explorer. In other browsers, it will appear as the default color. March 24, 2011 I have just added something neat to the "Cool Cemetery Related Stuff" Page. August 22, 2010 I have uploaded new maps for Wells and Wabash Counties (in Indiana) to my maps page. These will be helpful on my visits to nearby counties to find cemeteries. These maps aren't the greatest but they will do, at least for now. August 7, 2010 I visited 10 "new" cemeteries today, which is a record for me. I have added them to the Visited Cemeteries page. April 1, 2010 I have created a page for locating photo requests at the cemeteries that I take photos in most frequently for requesters. The page has a top frame for quick navigation. You can find the link to this page at the left of the page under "Find Photo Requests." The "Visited Cemeteries" page has also been updated as I have visited a lot of "new" cemeteries lately. January 10, 2010 I have created links so that Gardens of Memory Cemetery can be searched by using death year only. This will help me keep track of all of the new burials to this cemetery. Click the Favorite Cemeteries page to check it out! December 5, 2009 I have updated the frame pages by adding a link specifically for Grant County, Indiana cemeteries. It can be accessed by pulling down the "States" pulldown menu on the frame and selecting "Grant Co." July 5, 2009 I haven't updated the front page for a while as I am really busy with school. I haven't done as much on Find A Grave lately, but I still contribute and visit cemeteries. I am still working on new entries for Gardens of Memory Cemetery, by reading obituaries. I am still using the website on the bizhat server, and haven't used the 110mb.com site as bizhat apparently was fixed after I created the mirror site. So this page will continue to be served on bizhat unless otherwise noted in another update. January 4, 2009 I have uploaded a mirror site at http://tombstoner.110mb.com because I was having trouble with the FTP server at bizhat. Now I am able to access the server, but of course now have two of the same site. I am thinking about removing one of the sites. If I do, it will more than likely be the one at bizhat. Please bookmark the mirror site at 110mb.com. December 29, 2008 School will be starting for me in January so I may not be able to findagrave as much as I have been. I will still do findagrave and I will answer e-mails as I have time. December 13, 2008 A new news section to the front page has been added. It is called "Memorial Page News." Basically it will contain birthdays and angel days of people and links to their memorials, but may contain a few other notices as well. November 28, 2008 "Memorial of the Month" has been added into the main page. It will contain a memorial that I select, usually of a family member or someone I knew. I will leave it up for a month or so, then replace it with a different memorial. New webpage design uploaded! November 25, 2008 Basic design of the new front page is almost complete and will be uploaded in a day or so. November 24, 2008 The website's front page has started to be redesigned. It will include more information on the site as well as new cemetery news. October 21, 2017 My second cousin, Jack Kester recently passed away. Please consider visiting his memorial. March 12, 2017 I want to remember murder victims Abigail Williams and Liberty German who were murdered while hiking on the Monon High Bridge in Delphi, Indiana by an unknown perpetrator. Abby and Libby's death shocked their community and the world when it was discovered that Libby had recorded the perpetrator on her cell phone moments before the attack. Libby and Abby will always be remembered and the community will not rest until the suspect is caught. May they rest in peace. September 9, 2013 Now that September 11th is approaching, please remember those who died in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Flight 93. March 30, 2011 My brother-in-law, James Dee Nightenhelser passed away on February 6, 2011. Please visit his memorial. June 18, 2010 Please leave something for my dog, Tina who has passed away today. December 13, 2008 Rick Seaman died 10 years ago today. Please also remember my grandfather, Donald Schlottman who died on December 26, 2006, and my uncle, Francis Alft who died on December 29, 2006. January 17, 2013 Today I visited the neatest cemetery I've ever been to, which is Halderman Cemetery in Wabash County, Indiana. January 6, 2013 Happy New Year! I've started the new year off by traveling to Ohio. I was able to go to 9 "new" cemeteries in Auglaize, Logan, Mercer, and Union Counties, which are added to the Visited Cemeteries page. December 22, 2012 I had the opportunity in November to visit Resurrection and Bethania Cemeteries in Justice, Illinois. Although I couldn't stay long, it was interesting to visit a cemetery I had heard quite a bit about in regards to Resurrection Mary, the ghost who supposedly roams Archer Avenue at night in front of the cemetery. Of course, I didn't see Resurrection Mary, nor was I expecting to, but it was still neat to visit this famous cemetery and Bethania, its nextdoor neighbor. The names on some of these tombstones were challenging to read as well as fun to add to the Find A Grave database. August 22, 2010 I visited a couple more cemeteries the other day, and added them to the Visited Cemeteries page. May 22, 2010 The Visited Cemeteries page has been updated again with several cemeteries I have visited lately. There are currently over 130 cemeteries on the list. July 5, 2009 I have visited 2 more cemeteries since I last updated this page in February. The cemeteries I have visited are Matthews Cemetery in Grant County, Indiana and Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington County, Indiana. February 1, 2009 I visited another cemetery, one that had not been photographed yet for findagrave. It is called Doyle Cemetery and it is located in the middle of a field. It is only accessible when there is nothing planted in the surrounding acreage. I have added it to my list of visited cemeteries. November 24, 2008 There was a great story on the Discovery Channel called, "A Haunting: Legend Trippers." The story was about some teenagers who heard the legend of spirits in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake, Wisconsin and decided to investigate. As the story goes, they had a horrible experience with ghosts in this infamous cemetery. The show can be found on YouTube.
